Valeria Ramírez

Dr Valeria Ramírez, a researcher and knowledge exchange specialist with over 15 years’ experience working at the interface of academia, policy, industry and civil society across the UK, France, Spain and Mexico. Her work focuses on audience-centred research communication, Meaningful Metrics, and the evaluation of impact pathways in arts, humanities and social science research, particularly where change is affective, relational and politically situated. She has led and contributed to multiple UKRI-, ESRC- and Research England–funded projects on knowledge exchange, public engagement and impact evaluation, including work on participatory metrics, right-to-repair policy, and inclusive research cultures. Her approach combines the sociological rigour with practical expertise in translating complex research into actionable, ethical and proportionate evaluation frameworks aligned with REF, UKRI and foundation expectations. Her research is rooted in Science and Technology Studies and the Sociology of Quantification.
