Yareli Hernández Blas is an activist and independent consultant. She is Zapotec and has trained in communication studies, advocacy, editorial design, electoral law, interculturality and gender. She has worked as head of the communications departments of the State Electoral and Citizen Participation Institute of Oaxaca and the Electoral Tribunal of the State of Oaxaca. She has also collaborated with various civil society organisations, such as Colectivo COPERA, through the editorial design of communication materials, and with The Hunger Project as National Advocacy Manager in Mexico. She is a member of the Assembly of Indigenous Women of Oaxaca.
